mIRC

Here is the basic run down of what you need to do inorder to get mIRC running.

1. Download mIRC for the South African mIRC website. Make sure you download the
32 bit version.

2. Install your now freshly downloaded mIRC onto your PC.

3. Run it.

4. It should pop up an annoying window with a picture of the programmer. To prevent that ever happening again click on the check box on the bottom left hand corner.

5. It should now bring up the mIRC options window. If not click on file, then options.

6. You must now select the right mIRC server which in our case would be Gaspode ZAnet. If it is no there then click add and enter in the following data.
You can put anything you want in the description textbox
IRC Server: gaspode.zanet.org.za
Port(s): 6667
Group: ZAnetOrg

7. Choose a screen name and fill it in to the appropriate boxs.

8. Click on connect.

9. The set up window should now disappear and the status window will print a whole load of tripe.

9. When it claims that it is connected type in the following into the status window
/join channel (channel being #hiphop or #cape_town)
I am normally on the following channels
#hiphop, #programming, #cape_town, #herzlia, #webdesign (don't ask me why, I just
am :)

See you online.
